    Between a personal experience of about 40 years and an objective view of the reality of the local market and regional markets, the Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the President of the Riyadh Chamber Ajlan bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan believes that success comes from honesty with oneself, perseverance, continuous follow-up, and keenness to renew and search for Available opportunities.
    All this came during the "My Experience" program organized by the Asharqia Chamber represented by the Business Youth Council yesterday evening Monday 9 / November / 2020 and moderated by the Chairman of the Council Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, speaking about his experience in several fields, especially in the field of the clothing trade, and his start from a small shop, He cooperated with his three brothers to create a group that is the most prominent among the trade groups specialized in the trade of ready-made clothes.
    The Beginnings
    Al-Ajlan identified the beginning of his relationship with commercial activity in the seventies AD as an employee of his father in a small retail trade-in clothes, household utensils, and foodstuffs in the Al-Shumaisi neighborhood, and he used to go to the store in his spare time, and he saw the commercial movement and saw the way of buying and selling and dealing with customers, customers and competitors, which gained him experience Preliminary in the field of commercial work.
    Because of his preoccupation and love for business, he joined him early, to the point that he left the official study and later managed to obtain a high school diploma after twenty years of commercial work,
    Al-Ajlan mentioned that a number of sayings he used to hear from his father and those around him, he could not have absorbed in his young age, but - with the passage of time - he knew their truth after he tried them and saw the correctness of those who said them, such as: “All wealth is in physical wellness and security. In the homelands, this saying is viewed from the commercial side, it means the ability to be active and vital on the personal side, and the environment that stimulates this activity in general.​
    Regarding the story of the establishment of the Ajlan and His Brothers Group, Al-Ajlan said that four of the brothers (sons of Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan) met their speech forty years ago to cooperate and work as one hand, guided by the values ​​of love, tolerance, and brotherhood, as their trade began simple with one store, and this store has become a chain that extends from Riyadh to the region Al-Sharqiya to Jeddah, then to outside the Kingdom.
    Al-Ajlan said: “Our main trade forty years ago was in ready-made clothes, and thanks to God - and as previously mentioned - we expanded and grew, and we had our own factories in China, and we started selling in the Saudi market, the Arab Gulf, the Middle East, and North Africa regions, after that. Our investments varied and diversified, but we remained on our main activity, which is clothing. "
    He mentioned that there are difficulties they faced in the foundation stages, but in all stages of their work, for this is the nature of life, they were dealt with objectively, as he says that "difficulties and solutions also exist. Perseverance, follow-up, continuity, and honesty are all factors that provide solutions, and from which one gets May God Almighty grant him success and help people as well. "

    On the effects of the pandemic on the commercial movement, Al-Ajlan said that it is an unexpected and unusual pandemic, and it has swept the whole world, and we in the Kingdom may be better than others, as consumer power is still good, due to the continuing salaries of government employees and a large sector of private-sector employees, due to government measures Supportive, it is true that the pressures were strong, especially in the beginning of the pandemic, and it caused some damage to the private sector, but we bypassed all of that - thanks to God and then thanks to the caring leadership on its people and supportive of its economy - and from another angle, the pandemic has opened unprecedented marketing and sales windows through e-commerce.     Localization:
    Al-Ajlan stressed that Localization​​​ is the choice of the nation in the present and in the future and that relying on expatriate workers is an option that will not continue, and if the need dictates it for some time, therefore we must all strive and search for the Saudi citizen, we will find him, and we must motivate and help him, and send his motivation and activity, especially since the regulations The new support the competitiveness of the Saudi citizen in the labor market.

    Family companies:
    Regarding family companies, Al-Ajlan said that we worked as brothers, friends, and partners, between us, is harmony, and our relationship is continuous, and mistakes are incoming, but with trust, tolerance, honesty, and transparency, any mistake can be addressed, the strength of any family business is in these values, and we have been going on for more than 40 years, thank God.
    In this regard, Al-Ajlan sees the need for clarity and transparency in everything, especially in financial matters, as it is what creates confidence and achieves permanence in work, as ambiguity is an unwelcome and unsound condition, and it should not be in any company, especially family companies, in order to prevent any misinterpretation.
    Volunteer work experience:
    Regarding work in the Riyadh Chamber and the Council of Saudi Chambers, Al-Ajlan said that for 20 years he was a permanent member in the specialized sub-committees in the Riyadh Chamber, out of his love for volunteer work, then he applied to the membership of the Board of Directors and the chairmanship of the Council and gave the members confidence, adding that the mission of the Chambers of Commerce is vital, which is to protect Business sector interests and their representation This pivotal role was evident during the pandemic, and the Chambers of Commerce became an essential partner with the government sector.
    Regarding the new system of rooms, he said that it is a continuation of renewal in all systems, including room systems, and we find that every renewal will be reflected in the performance of the private sector.​
    Al-Ajlan called on business leaders to be keen on communicating with the chambers of commerce in the Kingdom and to participate in the events that are organized in them, such as courses, seminars, and workshops, as all of them are activities that contribute to achieving the interests of the homeland and the citizen and the investor in particular. Honesty with oneself and with others, diligence, and perseverance, and ensuring that the entrepreneur is a role model for his employees and workers, a continuous follow-up to work, specialization in a specific field and then proceeding to other fields, in addition to taking advantage of investment opportunities in the Saudi market, which is absolutely the best in the Middle East region There are many opportunities today in different sectors, most notably tourism, mining, trade, and services.
